Meet Morgan! Morgan got her start with BEYOND500 by taking a class not too long ago and says she was hooked right away. Find out more about Morgan’s favorite BEYOND500 exercise and what it means to her to #goBEYOND.

BEYONDblog: How did you come to be a part of the BEYOND family?

Morgan: I knew I wanted to become a part of the BEYOND family from the instant I walked through the doors at Henderson. I took my first BEYOND500 class this past July and within seconds of finishing class I asked how I could become an instructor. A few months later I auditioned, started instructor training and now here I am!

BEYONDblog: What can clients expect when taking your BEYOND classes?

Morgan: Clients can expect to be pushed to their limits in my classes, but should also know that I’ll be with them every step of the way. As an instructor I am there to cheer them on, celebrate their growth, and sometimes ask for more from them.

BEYONDblog: What’s your favorite BEYOND500 exercise?

Morgan: I have a love/hate relationship with the runs at BEYOND500 on the Woodway Curve. They challenge your system in a completely different way than running outdoors or on a traditional treadmill. I hate every second I’m on there: my lungs burn, legs kill me and my mind screams to stop, but I push myself so much harder EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

BEYONDblog: When not leading a BEYOND class you are…

Morgan: There are three places you can likely find me when I’m not leading a BEYOND class: (1) spending time with my husband, Tom, and our dog Cooper (2) working out myself – lifting weights, practicing yoga, or taking a BEYOND class (3) eating with friends.

BEYONDblog: What days can clients book your classes?

Morgan: Currently, clients can find me at BEYOND500 Henderson on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. I will be adding Wednesdays at noon and maybe more in March. We change trainer schedules periodically so it’s best to look up my current schedule at TheBeyondStudios.com.

BEYONDblog: How did you start your fitness journey?

Morgan: I wasn’t athletic growing up. Sports were never really my thing, my eye-hand coordination is laughable (I still cannot catch or throw, so don’t even ask), and my body didn’t know what a muscle was until I started working with a personal trainer during my senior year of high school. My dad actually bought me a session for Christmas. I’ve since found my strength and inner athlete and like to think that I was just a late bloomer.

BEYONDblog: What motivates you to live an active and healthy lifestyle?

Morgan: I simply feel better mentally and physically when I’m active, and that’s what motivates me to continue living an active and healthy lifestyle. I know this is the most obvious answer, but it’s 100 percent true AND proven by science. Personal growth is a huge motivator for me. I’m amazed every day at what my body is capable of, which is always so much more than I originally thought possible. The best part is that it continues to change. The human body is a crazy and amazing thing!

BEYONDblog: What is your go-to post workout snack?

Morgan: A banana and almond butter usually does the trick as my go-to post workout snack.

BEYONDblog: What’s your favorite training gear/ apparel?

Morgan: Surprise, surprise! You can find me in lululemon 95 percent of the time and almost guarantee that it’ll be black. Rarely will you find me in lots of colors and crazy prints. I should probably venture out of my comfort zone a bit more.

BEYONDblog: What’s your idea of going BEYOND?

Morgan: Going BEYOND is all about the push for me. We all walk into the studio each day with “stuff” –– to do lists, personal things, preconceived ideas of what we’re capable of, etc. To be able to go BEYOND, you have to be able to push past all of these things, focus on your inner strength and just give it what you got. My “what I got” may change from day-to-day, but I know that each time I walk into a BEYOND studio, the instructor is going to do everything they can to push me BEYOND my limits.
